JoomlaWatch Stats 1.2.9 by Matej Koval

Playing the game of golf involves walking around a golf course laden with over 10 kilograms of golf equipment. The simplest way to transport your golf set and bag is on a golf buggy (commonly referred to as a trolley).

Of the millions of golfers that tee-it-up on private, resort and public courses each year, a majority still prefer walking a course as opposed to riding in a motorized cart. Not only is it part of the game’s tradition, but the exercise benefits of walking has many positive effects on health and fitness.

Today, the walking golf cart market can be differentiated into three distinct categories

  1. non-motorised seat style golf buggies,
  2. non-motorised compact (collapsible) golf buggies,
  3. motorised golf buggies.

Non motorized seat style golf buggies offer the convenience of a seat, not only to provide rest during the game, but often is a convenient storage compartment beneath the seat. A modern addition to the seat style golf buggy has been the front (third) wheel attachment, allowing the golf buggy to be pushed in front of the player as opposed to dragged behind. This addition (now often standard) offers an ergonomically correct, simple to manoeuver and exercise friendly product. Most seat buggies are fitted with easy rolling, lightweight, maintenance free tyres. When selecting a buggy with a third wheel inclusion it is advisable to ensure the unit includes a braking mechanism. 0

Non motorized compact (collapsible) style golf buggies tend to be far more compact in size and lighter in weight than the seat style buggies. As a result, the non motorized compact style golf buggy has surpassed the demand for the seat buggy considerably. Although not available on all models, the front (third) wheel attachment should be considered when selecting the preferred model. The benefit of this feature allows the golf buggy to be pushed in front of the player creating an ergonomically correct, simple to manoeuver and exercise friendly product. Most collapsible buggies are fitted with easy rolling, lightweight, maintenance free tyres. More deluxe models incorporate spring suspension to absorb rough terrain and protect golf clubheads from rattling and clashing.

Motorised golf buggies are becoming increasingly popular, offering the exercise benefits of walking without the personal effort of pushing the golf set. Motorised golf buggies vary in features, motor strength, battery capacity – most importantly, when selecting an electric motorized golf buggy ensure the brand selected is backed by local warranty and service.
