Shoe Fitting
In an effort to offer the best possible fit, please consider the following tips:
Determine your size and width using a Brannock Device®. The Brannock Device has been the shoe fitting standard for over 70 years. This device measures heel to toe length, arch length, and width. It is best to have a shop associate help you with the measurement.
Look at the general shape of your foot. The Brannock Device helps you measure the length and width of your foot, however, it does not measure volume.
Selecting the appropriate last to match your unique fit characteristics can help address the question of volume.
A full foot will require requires a wider last where as a narrow foot will require requires a sleeker last
Check the break of the leather in the forefoot when you raise your heel from the ground. Too much breaking or bunching of the leather is a sign that your foot is not filling the volume of the shoe and that the shoe may be too wide.
Ensure that the laces are adequately comfortable on both shoes. The proper lacing is demonstrated when the top eyelets are approximately 1.5cm” apart. If the top eyelets touch, then the shoe may be too wide, conversely, if the top eyelets are more than 1.5cm” apart, the shoe may be too narrow.
Check for slipping in the heel or movement in the forefoot may indicate an incorrect size. Walk through the shop, testing your shoes for comfort.
Not all shoes are created equally. The shape of the shoe depends on the characteristics of the last. The LAST, originally made of wood and now made of composite plastics, is the form of the foot around which the shoe is shaped. Last characteristics vary based on the goals of the shoe’s fit and appearance. When considering a shoe, consider the characteristics of the last.

Caring for your golf shoes
Proper care and attention is required to maintain and prolong the look, feel and comfort of golf shoes. Faced with a wide range of hazards, golf shoes should be thoroughly cleaned and properly stored between rounds in order to prolong the look and life of the shoes. We recommend rotating shoes between rounds - properly maintained the rotation of two pairs of shoes will last much longer than twice the life of a single pair.
Pre-Round Care
Use a shoe horn when putting on your golf shoes. This will protect the heel counter of the shoe-- damaging the heel counter can cause improper fit in the heel which can lead to blistering and overall discomfort
Post-Round Upper Cleaning and Care
Clean leather or synthetic shoes after each round by removing dirt and residue mild soap and water allowing the shoes to air dry at room temperature.
White-based shoes can be preserved by applying white shoe creme to remove unwanted scuff marks as well as conditioning the leather.
Dark-based shoes should use a combination of shoe cleaner and the applicable color shoe creme to maintain the look and conditioning of the upper.
Post-Round Outsole Cleaning and Care
The outsole of a shoe should be wiped clean of dirt and residue, ensuring all cleats are intact and secured tightly into their respective receptacles.
Drying wet shoes
Excessively Wet Shoes: If your shoes become soaked:
a) place crumpled newspaper inside for 8-10 hours to soak up all excess water.
b) remove newspaper and replace with Shoe Trees. Shoe trees will bring the uppers back to normal shape, smooth the linings and absorb any remaining water and odor.
Do Not:
a) Do not dry your shoes using a blow-dryer or by putting them on a heater. This will only damage the leather.
b) Do not store your golf shoes in your car trunk, where high temperatures can break down shoe materials resulting in decreased lifespan of your shoes.
